![]() I realize people have different opinions so I'm sure there will be those who will leave some settings on, but even if all the settings worked and actually improved the game in a way, it's hardly what I'd call a visual upgrade update. "Cool, the game is already looking good, but they've upgraded the graphics?", and then you play it and honestly, like many have said it looks worse with these options on. ![]() So when you see a trailer for an update called "The Eye candy" update, it sets you up. Not a game that is a great piece of art (although it certainly is that), but rather a game that features great and interesting visuals. All this places Subnautica in a sort of "art game" category. You have these great sights, colorful art style and exploration is such a big part of the game that you simply must have a good scenery. It's also known as a game that's to a big extend, visual. The "problem", as I see it is that Subnautica is a fairly popular title. However I think the reason people are upset is quite obvious, and for some reason people are trying to brush it off as "People are angry that there are more graphics options in an already good game", which irks me because it's almost deliberately ignores what people are actually saying. Graphics options can only be a good thing, since people can keep them off if they dislike them. ![]() I don't think the trailer is bad either, it's not badly made and it advertises the update's titular feature. I don't think anyone complained about it being a bad game, in regards to this trailer. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
